Arbiter's CallLyric | Arkentype | 2020

Verse 1
Headstrong sin
Stifled
Struggling through the streaking sound
When did the devil within get it’s hold,
calling me with my voice?

Chorus 1
By looking into
the eyes of evil
I might find a way
Or there might be burdening isolation

Verse 2
We are one,
or so it seems
Finding hold, struggling to unfold
It’s like we’re destined to be in this place,
held by my mistakes

Chorus 2
By looking into
the eyes of evil
I will find a way
Darkness might come in dismay,
or will disappear

Hailing the prophet
in what he sees as fair
Balancing between what’s real
and the truth within

Chorus 3
By looking into
the eyes of evil
I will find a way
Darkness might come in dismay,
or will disappear

Hailing the prophet,
in what he sees as fair
Balancing between what’s real
and the truth within

The lyrics tells of a struggle with balancing the mind’s arbiter and one’s own sanity. Arbiter’s Call features the voice of Emilie Bjørnstad, giving the song a new flavor in addition to referencing the female voices of Arkentype’s debut album ‘Disorientated’.
